產(chǎn)品介紹 BMP2 belongs to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily of secreted growth factors. It is a disulfide-linked homodimer and induces bone and cartilage formation. In addition to its osteogenic activity, BMP2 plays an important role in cardiac morphogenesis and is expressed in a variety of tissues including lung, spleen, brain, liver, prostate ovary and small intestine. The functional form of BMP2 is a 26 kDa protein composed of two identical 114 amino acid polypeptide chains linked by a single disulfide bond. BMPs control fundamental events in early embryonic development, organogenesis and adult tissue homeostasis.

Induces cartilage and bone formation.

Subunit:
Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Interacts with SOSTDC1. Interacts with GREM2, RGMA, RGMB and RGMC. Interacts with ASPN.

Subcellular Location:
Secreted.

Tissue Specificity:
Particularly abundant in lung, spleen and colon and in low but significant levels in heart, brain, placenta, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, prostate, ovary and small intestine.

BMP-2主要對(duì)未分化間充質(zhì)細(xì)胞和骨系細(xì)胞起到募集和分化作用。在骨形成早期,BMP-2不僅可使未分化間質(zhì)細(xì)胞向骨形成中心募集,并分化為骨系細(xì)胞,而且可使成纖維細(xì)胞、成肌細(xì)胞及骨髓的基細(xì)胞逆轉(zhuǎn)分化為骨系細(xì)胞。其主要過程是:增加或抑制這些細(xì)胞內(nèi)的某些特異性蛋白的分泌,使成纖維細(xì)胞分化為成骨細(xì)胞,成肌細(xì)胞快速分化為肥大的軟骨細(xì)胞,并促進(jìn)基質(zhì)鈣化。
對(duì)于成骨細(xì)胞,BMP-2則可使之維持其特有細(xì)胞表型,并誘導(dǎo)成骨細(xì)胞標(biāo)志物的增高,促進(jìn)細(xì)胞外基質(zhì)鈣化。在骨形成后期,BMP-2還作為一種破骨細(xì)胞分化因子與其它支持破骨細(xì)胞分化因子直接或間接刺激破骨細(xì)胞分化,參與骨的重建。
